I work at an acura dealership and the idle adjustment screw does nothing , they want you to think it does but it has a sensor or a valve that u have to replace . Not possitive but def something to look into

I was able to get it to idle a little higher by moving the distributor towards the bumper a little which it was in the center is it bad to do that?
Yes, you just blindly adjusted your ignition timing, so who knows where it is set at now. You can make it run like a charm at idle that way, but now who knows what your timing will be at when you are higher in the rpm range. Use a timing gun.
