Ok i been hearing that ls vtec with gsr head has more torque and about the same h.p as the b18c1??? is that true??? everything else stock on ls block just gsr head!

Um...
1) Search, there is a ton of info on here about doing an ls-vtec
2) You can't safely rev a stock ls block like a gsr block, so there's no way it will be capable of making the same whp. Now, with some better internals and an increased rev limit, things change.

ok so what your saying is that ls pistons are weaker than gsr. im new at this and im just trying to learn some things, i know that a gsr has more compression, so does it mean that when you have more compression u can rev up higher also??? or you just need stronger rods and pistons???
lol its the crank and rods that make an lsv and lsv....you put a gsr crank and rods with a gsr head...well i dont need to tell you what youve built...the pistons on the LS are not the weak point...replace the rod bolts...and if youre **** balance the crank and youre good for your 8k
