Yes you could just bore it to fit the 1.8 pistons. Honing is just to get your new surface, and boring is the correct term to use when talking about making displacment larger. And yes Ls crank has a longer stroke.

Thanks um... what about head gasket and rods?????? Also would it be good to go with stock type r pistons,,,,,,,,,,,, right now stock I have 160 hp and 117 ft. lbs.
what do you think it would be after I get these mods. done????????

Also I just put a A.C.T. clutch kit in,,,, pro lite flywheel, Heavy duty P.P. and mod street disc..... now that i put it in the car Rev's funny it jumps up to about 3,000 Rpm and then drops down to stock Idle...... Kinda like the Idle Air control valve is disconeted is there anything I can do to fix this??????

Thanks for your time

type r pistons will fit with no boring or honing needed unless you use oversize pistons. all b series with the exception of b20's use an 81mm bore. you will however have to shave 1mm off each side of the small end of the rod for them to fit.

you cannot use an ls crank in a b17 unless you use custom rods and pistons as well. this is because the b17 has the same block as a b16 which has a shorter deck height than b18 blocks.

Ok....... Well what I am looking to do is get my car to run mid 13's all motor......
I don't want to turbo it or spray it! right now I am running 15.7 the only mods I had at the time were full exhaust 4-2-1 header and short ram intake, also a coil blaster wires and pro cap.. the motor is in a 91 civic si hatch... I want to run mid 13's with out gutting the car but still being able to run it on the street...... I want to go with the B17 because around here nobody has even herd of this motor...

Any thoughts???????????
