Are B-Series Timing belts interchangeable?
Do all B-Series share the same timing belt? LS, GSR, Type R are they all the same? I'd like to know because if anyone out there needs a brand new oem b18b timing belt, I can hook you up cheap...
Thanks in advance

No, need to match up the timing belt with the type of water pump. Vtec and Non Vtec water pumps have different teeth so require different belts.

Re: Are B-Series Timing belts interchangeable? (RedLinedGSR)
yeah, it's the water pump that makes teh difference, not the cams or their gears. RedLine, gsr cams are different than ls/gs/rs cams due to having vtec, but that about it. The gears are the same, i believe.

yea we found out that the somewhat hard way. We were doing a timing belt change (along w/other stuff like water pump, main seals, etc) and were tryin to put the timing belt back on but it just wouldn't go, even w/the tensioner all the way loose. Checked belt part numbers and all, it was fine. Finally we double checked the water pump. The Honda parts guy gave us the wrong one We had a GSR water pump I think. It had like 19T when we needed about a 22T one. Once we put the right pump on everything was fine.

Your belt will work with any 90-up LS, FYI.
