Azenis/sizing
I'm purchasing a new set of 16 inch Rota Grids for my 2000 Integra GS. I also need tires and I want the Azenis rt-615s. Stock tires for the car are 195/55/15. The tire size that is closest in diameter and the best match that I have found would be a 205/45/16. Here-in lies the problem: To my knowledge based on research, Falken doesn't make the Azenis in this size. I don't want to go with a 40 or 50 sidewall because it will alter the diameter. I'm thinking about going up to a 215/45/16 but I will also be running Tanabe GF-210 springs that will lower the car 1.5 inches and I'm worried about rubbing. So my question to those of you who are more informed and experienced than I: Should I give up on getting the Azenis and resort to 205/45/16 Kumhos or will the 215/45/16 Azenis be ok with my car?

go with the 215's they are only slightly bigger than stock. actually about the same amount as the 205's are smaller then the stock tires. if that made me any sense.
the 215's will give you slightly bigger sidewall along with a wider footprint.

I see that going with a 215/45 will still come out to around the same diameter of the stock tire but why do most people with integras run 205's? Any cons to running the 215?

I've got a set of 16x7 Rota Slipstreams with 205/40-16 RT615 Azenis. They look absurdly tiny. I use 205/45-16s on the street, and the 205/40-16s for auto-x and HPDEs. I believe 215/45-16 is what the JDM Type-R came with, so it shouldn't mess with the speedo much or anything.

Yea most people are saying that the 215's will be ok, but I'm still realizing that most people use the 205's. Why did you go with the 205's over the 215's?
they are more common, they are cheaper, they are slightly smaller than stock sizing which works out well for really low cars. neither one of the 2 tires are gonna affect the speedo very much.

2 reasons, price and availability. There are a lot more tires in the 205 size than the 215 and with a bigger selection comes cheaper prices. Note, though, that the "good" tires that are available in both sizes are typically about the same price in each size.
FWIW, the Hankook RS-2's are about equal to the 615's, cheaper, and available in a lot more sizes. From everyone I've talked to in autox, there's not much difference in ultimate grip between the 2, main diff is feel.

Yup. People use 205/45-16 because most tires other than Azenis come in 205/45-16 and not in 215/45-16. With the Azenis, it's the reverse. The 205/45 is 0.8 percent smaller in diameter than stock, and 215/45 is 0.7 percent bigger - both figures are pretty close. Neither one should rub. So you can use either size, depending on what's available in the tire you want to use.
205/40-16 is too small, and is typically used on Civics that came with 175/70-13 or 185/60-14 tires stock, not on Integras that came with 185/65-14 or 195/55-15 stock.
If you're interested in a comparison of the Azenis RT-615, the Hankook Z212, and the Kumho MX, all mentioned here, see the test in Grassroots Motorsports. Cliff's Notes: Azenis won.

I had the same problem as you, no Azenis in the size I needed. I ended up going with 205/16/45 Toyo T1Rs since my friend got me a decent deal on them. Just waiting for it all to arrive now, maybe Azenis in the future.

I'm lowered 1.75" on H&R Sport springs.
