Hey guys, i just found a small patch of rust on my inner fender on the rear. It hasnt spread and gotten big at all, and you cant even see it yet. Its about the size of a pencil eraser. I was wondering before i touched it up what would be the best way to treat it before it starts to spread any bigger. Thanks for the help.

 

Mask it off, sand blast it, then touch it up.

Or, cut it out and weld in a new piece.

sand it off. if its not to bad then 320 grit should work, then prime, paint, whatever u wanna do to it. but u have to put something on there to seal it up if not it will keep rusting

 

ok cool, yea i was planning on sanding it down, then primering it then painting it with some touch up paint.

 

u dont have to prime to paint. paint will stick to sanded paint

 

im having probs with my car too.. all i did was put some spray paint over it... i dont think thats the right way to do it?
