im getting ready to do a tranny swap to a 5spd, but for now, i have a little bit of a automatic trans problem.. there is a S3 button and S4 button for the trans.. the S3 flashes when i turn on the car, and also when the car freaks out.. it flashes. what does that mean?

and when it doesnt flash, while im driving, i put it in s3 and it works fine. like no transmission problems. any idea?

 

Mt car is having the same probleme at the moment. It will not let it start, the check engine light comes on and the s3 light blinks. I think the s3 is to show you that there is trouble in the system. Has your car evernot started because of it?

 

umm... just recently ive been having trouble starting my car, like i press on the gas pedal and it hesitates to high rev, but if i hold my foot down, after it hesitates, it high revs, but i have to restart the car like 5 to 6 times to get it to go, and the check engine light goes on, and that damn s3 flashes.. i have no idea whats going on

 

my car is doing the exact same thing. Have you had those problemes since acura intalled those new wires? Have you ever check your main ignition switch relay?

 

yeah, it works fine, just now my engine is acting up for some reason, i gota go take it in again this week so i'll keep u posted with whats wrong and what they did to fix it

 

Hey I had a problem today at school...it was raining outside all day and when I go to leave school and start my car, there is a green square around d4....i had this problem a while ago too. When there is a red square around p and a green one around d4 at the same time....my car would not shift between gears for love or money. I talked to this guy and he said it was the ecu. He replaced something on tehre and it worked fine for a while. Today...the same lights came on at the same time and I tried to drive it, made it about 20 feet, and then all the drive lights shut off and it sounded like my car was upshifting and downshifting back to back. I leave work today and the same exact thing happens......is it a wet wire connection or is it the transmission or is it the ecu or does anyone know what i'm talking about?

 

well there is a trans ecu located underneath the
steering column close to the pedals
it has a LED as well and throws a code but I have not
seen any manual that helps you out reading the codes
