Auto to Manual Swap on a 99....K20 in Integra?
I really want to make my integra a manual. What parts do I need to do so. Honestly not trying to **** anyone off by asking this, but I don't really understand what I have been finding in the searches or what it would entail to do so. And what is the cheapest, most reliable way to do this.
Also, I know somone who is selling the engine and tranny from a 2004 Civic Si. Would that fit in my Integra? Thanks very much for the help guys.

in all honesty, if you car is stock, i think it would just be easier to sell it and buy a manual car. less headaches and more reliable IMO.
have you read this thread on the auto to manual swap?

It's true what he said. If it is stock sell it and get a manual. For me, I invested too much in it so I converted mine to manual. As reliability, it as good as it came from the factory. I've been driving on it for two years ZERO problems so far. But yea... As long as you have everything and a trusty mechanic, it can be done in a day or two.

Okay...so what's the verdict on the K20 swap? And what do you think is the best way to get a manual? Do you think someone would trade me auto for manual? I hate being w/o a car. I need it for work/school.

honestly yeah dont worry bout the k swap for now....im pretty sure you have no idea how much money it takes to do a k swap....
2. the k20a3 aka the si motor is the most worthless k series motor there is....might as well swap a b16 into your teg....
if you want to learn more about k swaps go to the link in my sig, sign up and read till you know what your getting your self into..good luck

Re: Auto to Manual Swap on a 99....K20 in Integra? (DC TWOin IT)
if your going k20 it really doesnt matter if the chassis is auto or manual. the basic components of the auto or manual have to be removed anyway...for example trans mount, area where auto and manual shifters are. i converted mine from auto to 5-speed to k series 6-speed, no problems at all and it was easier then you think. if you do go k-series dont go k20a3 (si hatch) that motor isnt worth it. the rsx-s swap is where its at (k20a2)
