anyone else make stiffer valve springs for LS other than crower?
it seems like crower only sells the upgraded spring with teh titanium retainers (in the groupbuy) and with the 403s i really dont think that the ti retainers are necessary, especially with a stock rev limiter.... so does anyone else sell just the springs for this car?
thanks

Might as well replace the retainers while you are at it and have the head apart, or are paying for later. The retainers aren't very expensive. What about portflow or webcams?
is it truly necessary to get a head port with teh 404s? i figure, why not get them if im going to have to get springs and retainers anyways... i will probably do an ecu mod in the future to get to 8k after i do springs retainers and cams.
It's not necessary, but recommended because they need lots of air. They make very high end power as compared to the 403's.

would i need to upgrade any fuel stuff after getting 404s springs and retainers? after that in a few months i would plan to get the skunk2 intake mani.
If you're getting crower cams, get crower valve springs. Using some other manufacturer's valve springs is just asking for trouble. Afterall, they did design those springs to work with their cams.
