ITR's have a b16 casting head, which has no bleeder. Remove your radiator cap and run the engine until the fans come on and no bubbles come out of the neck. Done.

GSR's have a bleeder screw right next to the upper radiator hose on it's right. It's on the front left of the head, and is a 12mm with a spout on it.

I think 96 and newer GSRs don't have a bleeder.

You should only have to leave the valve open till it is streaming just radiator fluid once. If it keeps happening that could be a bad sign.....blown head gasket possibly

There is a heater valve at the fire wall with a cable attached to open (provide hot coolant to the heater core) or close to prevent coolant from reaching the heater core. Since they manually switched it to heat, you can wait until the weather gets warmer to worry about it, or manually switch the valve closed again at that time.

When you bleed coolant, the heater/climate control must be set to hot so that the coolant bleeds all the air out of the heater core. I guess this is how they noticed yours wasn't functioning properly.
