Default All B-Series Clutches the same?

I have an LS Transmission and I was wondering if a clutch out of a b16 would fit?

Are the splines different? Would it fit under the pressure plate?

All b series with vtech, pending same generation. look at buying options ie toda, spoon, mugen, the clutches are the same for all B series. I think that either S80 or Y80 tranny's are interchangeable

you sure 91 is different from 92? i thought it was 90-93 is different from 94+ because the 90-93 tranny is cable while 94+ is hydro.

Yeah it has nothing to do with cable or hydro. 90-91 trannies use a smaller input shaft. 92-2001 use the same input shaft, you can even swap hydro internals into the 92-93 cable cases. Also, the only difference between the 90-91 clutches and the 92-01's is the disk, the pressure plate is the same.

match part numbers listed for your application and the one you want from company's like
Competition, ACT, and Exedy. If you're numbers match you're good. If not then no. Just trying to make it quick and easy based on not know EXACTLY what you have.

hm... i've never heard that before. i always thought that the input shaft changed in 94 with the hydrolic tranny.

92+ trans are the same. 90-91 are the same. The input shafts differ in diameter. I'm absolutely certain. The clutch used in a 92-93 cable trans is the same as a 94+. Just because the actuator is different doesn't mean that the clutch is different.

actually the diameter is the same. the spline count is same just the size of the splines are differenet. i am finishing up a b18b1 swap into my da and that was one of many differences that i ran into. its also recommended to match clutch to whatever tranny you use. i believe your right on the 92-93 trans and clutch statement

Correct I have the b16 hydro internals in my YS1 cable tranny for my 92 DA. I'm using the 92-93 GSR clutch for it too. Direct bolt on affair
