i need to buy a new filter for my AEM but im not sure whats the proper size...i can get a hold of a 3 inch but my LS intake is 2 1/4 inch i think but definitly not 3....anyone know whats the correct replacement size?

 

Did it ged destroyed? You can clean and re-use K&N filters, which I'm sure you already know. Just get the K&N "filtercharger" kit at your auto store.

Otherwise, I would look for a part # on the filter or documentation that came with your intake.

 

ya its pretty much toast, all bent out of shape, i found a guy up in sacromento selling 2 filters for 50 bucks but they are the 3 inchs and not sure if they would fit

 

I would look at the part number on the instructions. I personally have and LS with AEM cold air. I will look for you to find the correct filter size.
