d16y7 AEM SRI inlet size
I am looking to buy a filter for a d16y7 (96-98 Civic four door, sepcifically) model AEM SRI. All I need is something cheap from ebay, but I'm not sure of the filter end inlet size of the AEM intake tube. I don't have the intake in my possession, otherwise I'd measure it myself (always just ran a stock airbox on my cars). Does anyone know the inlet size? Wanna make sure I don't do something like buy a 3" filter when the intake's 2.5 or something. Thanks.

dang, I can't find a single 2.5 inlet filter anywhere on ebay or in local stores. All I can come up with is 3" filters, *sigh*

Allright...I know this sounds half-***...but I JUST had the same problem. I ended up wrapping like a half a roll of duck tape around the end of my AEM SRI and now my 3'' filter fits like a dream...for the time being.

I thought about doing that too, cuz it seems like the only option. I would have thought we could at least find one 2.5" filter on ebay or somethin

This might also be stupid...but I think a local Advance Auto sells repacement K&N cone filters...I THINK they are 2.5''diameter, you might be able to give that a try

yeah I'll try a couple local auto parts stores tomorrow. I just hate paying so much for a K&N when a cheapy will pretty much do the same job I'll post back with what I find, or don't find.

Spend the money on a K&N. You can get them in any size you want. Just go on the K&N website and you can pick all of your sizing stuff off of a chart.
It's 40 dollars man. And you can reuse it forever.
