ok guys, I race this kid one night gsr vs gsr about the same mods done...I beat him by 2 cars...next night he beats me by one. He told me he advanced the timing 4 degrees. I talked to different people and I was told advacing the timing on the distributor( which is what the kid did) does nothing.what do u think, and how do u do it??

 

No, you can see some good results as I've tuned a few littly moded cars like this, but don't expect another 20whp. Use caution when doing this

 

but would it be enough to gain a car or so in a race?? how would u go about doing it?

 

you should know that a race is all about the launch (assuming you guys went from a dig). It's not enough to win by 3 cars like you stated total length, but it can gain a good 5-8whp
