i have a 98 ls yesterday when i was goin home i stall on a speed dump and my check engine light came on. i went to autozone and it said i had a misfire in cylinder 2&3 when i got home i check my ignition and nothing was wrong or lose. anybody know what can be causing this.

 

It is just that... a misfire. Could be anything from a bad plug, plugwire, distributor, cap or rotor. Reset the CEL and see if it comes back, might not.

 

I'd switch out the plugs and wires just to be safe.

why if the light dose not come back on it runs fine

 

i did change my plugs like a week ago and i did the whole tune uo like 2 months ago. i did rest the computer and hasnt came back on i think it was cause i stalled out preatty hard

Obviously, it's not running 100% fine, which is why he got a CEL. Plugs and wire are cheap and will at least eliminate that being the cause.

Well, just double check to see if everything is tight. If you got one of those "lifetime warranty" wires, change them for another set.
