From cold startup, will race to about 2300-2500 rpms

Let it heat up a bit, idle lowers to about 1500, but surges down to 1k rpms.

If you let the car completely warm up, it will idle at about 800, but will ocasionally surge.

Cleaned IAC motor(no success), before I buy a new 1, what else could it be?

 

vaccum leak? TPS?

From what I have read at TI.net, this is a really common problem. I get it in my car. It's just something you have to deal with when your car (teg) gets older.

 

Yeah i'm having the same problem also. I noticed this after i change my radiator cap to a mugen cap. not sure if that has to do anything with it but i've never noticed it before changing the cap.
