Not new to Honda-Tech but new to integras. Just picked up a 93 integra gs 5spd. Car has a swap b18 and tranny but has some issues. Mechanically the car is sound except for a oil leak. My biggest problem is the shift linkage it was loose as hell. Bought new poly bushings didnt help then I noticed the u joint thats closest to tranny had play I did the eclip fix its helped alot of play but then whislt I was there removing the linkage I noticed the hole for the linkage was smaller then the tranny. I drilled the linkage hole wider and put a pin more snugg to hold the two better. I still have play within the shifter. The tranny has no model number just a casting stamp YSK 1

Take a look at the other end of the linkage, the part that's under the shift lever. The bushings there wear out and cause a large amount of side-to-side slop in the lever.

Thats a brand new poly bushing.

Old or new, is the linkage tight in that location? Have you actually looked and felt?

Bump to this post.
Finally got the car running and driving good amd decided just to get a new linkage my friend has a DC linkage in his garage. It bolts right in correct? Ive done research and its all around better but I still dont know why the hole on the tranny is that big for the linkage pin tonlock in to it. I drilled the linkage and put a bigger pin worked for a little now its loose again.
