Default 92 integra starting problem ecu code 8

hey guys,
i have a 92 integra ls, with about 180k, stock for the most part..
sometimes it wont start.. when i click the key to start it.. nothing
no cranking no turning over nothing.. its as if the battery is completely dead.
i can hear the fuel pump prime so its probably not that.. usually when i come back to the car after a couple hours it will start up fine no problems..
i had to clutch start it today.. it clutch starts fine..
sometimes i can get it started if i hold the key in the starting position. sometimes when i hold it in the starting position it'll throw a code..
it throws a code 8 and i searched everywhere and people say its the tdc sensor in the dizzy.. so maybe a new dizzy..
this happen to anyone else.. any ideas or suggestions??
i hate getting stranded...
TIA

if you have power and your starter does not click, you might have a dead spot in it. take it to autozone and they will run a free test on it

you may want to check to make sure the one wire spade connector is on the starter real good too

just because its throwing a code the car should still in theory crank over

i was thinking that as welln

well the car did it a few more times on my way home yesterday.. good thing its in the garage so i can troubleshoot at home instead of in the parking lot of work or at the mall where it happened both times yesterday haha..
its a PITA pushing the car by yourself trying to clutch start it..

UPDATE -

got a new dizzy
battery was dead.. jumped the car and it worked and ran fine...
drove to a buddies house.. parked... when it came time to leave the car was dead again...and had to jump it to go home

so today i bought a new battery and it still wont start unless its being jumped...
it is STILL throwing a code 8
i have no idea what the heck is going on...
any suggestions or ideas are welcomed..

ive checked the ground on the starter... but now im thinking since i have a relocated battery.. to check the ground in the trunk....

esp since it needs another car hooked up to it to crank...
