92 integra noise up front under acceleration
92 Integra Noise From up Front Under Acceleration:
Car has 161,000 miles, 5 speed manual LS.
Parts I have replaced include oem speedo cable, pass. side axle, suspension is skunk2 sport shocks with megan racing coilovers, all done within last 3 months. Wheels and tires are also new. Everything seems to be tight as well (ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings).
I also checked the brake components up front and all is tight and working properly.
It seems to me that the engine mounts are ok, the clutch engages and shifts smoothly, and other than the noise, the car drives very smoothly.
If sitting still in neutral or in gear and I rev up the engine I hear no noise.
The noise is not present when just cruising (under 10% throttle applied)
The noise sounds like a churning or slight metal-to metal grind possibly and it occurs at ANY time when more than 10% throttle is applied, like any other noise it’s hard to describe lol. But it’s not a clunking noise or clicking noise like a bad axle or something, I’ve never heard this noise before and if the radio is up or the window is down it is hard to pick up, it is certainly not very loud at all. It also seems to have no effect on power or response as well which is why I am so puzzled.
What I think it might be:
Timing belt/tensioner noise?
Intermediate shaft bearing going bad?
I’m beginning to lean to the side of an engine related problem rather than a drivetrain problem as there is no vibration related with the noise but like I said I’m not sure.
I don’t really know what else it could be so I was hoping someone maybe could give me some pointers on some other things it could possibly be. Thanks for any help!!

Re: 92 integra noise up front under acceleration
back from the dead....mine actually does make that noise. I've read a bunch of threads from different websites and no one seems to really give an end result as to if they fixed their problem or how they fixed it. Anyways my car has had a 4 wheel alignment done about 2 months ago, I have also replaced the driver side axel. But whenever I raise the car and have some one spin the pass. side wheel I can hear some noise from the bottom of the transmission, also when I'm driving I can hear that "wahwahwah" noise from the driver side??? I know its a long shot but I hope you up there ^^^^^^^ can help...and no I don't mean god.

The drivers side axle, or intermediate shaft, has a carrier bearing, it bolt's to the block to hold it up high enough, that might be it.

Here is an example, this is from a mitsu though, but you can see th mounting point right next to the constant velocity joint. just find the oil filter on the back of the block, look next to it, and it will be there.
