Ok here's what I have. I bought a 92 automatic DA that had a rod out. I started it up but never drove it because the rod was knocking really bad, but the lady swore the tranny worked fine, and also I dont remember any blinking shifter lights then. Anyways I bought a nice running LS motor for it, and just before i put it in, I crashed on my 4 wheeler and was in the hospital for a while and layed up for several weeks, so I payed one of my bud's to do the swap for me, and now when I start the car I get a cel (only a 41 which is o2 sensor) and also the S3 light in the shifter lights in the cluster starts flashing constantly. Also when driving the car, it wont up shift right. you have to rev it to about 5 grand before it will shift to the next gear. I've been beating my head against the wall trying to figure out what my friend hooked up wrong, or what's wrong with the tranny if he did everything right? I could only see a total of 3 plugs on the tranny, and they're all plugged in and the way they're shaped, they'll only go one way! I can only see 1 vac. line that goes to what seems to be a modulator, and that hose has vac. on it. I also made sure I have the right amount of trans. fluid in it too.
I have also gone through and checked all the fuses, and looked for any grounds that he may have left undone.
So there ya have it. this is what I'm up against. somebody please help me out here!

update -
i replaced the O2 sensor and now the check engine light is off.

ALSO HOW DO I ACCESS TRANNY DIAGNOSTIC CODES ????????????????????????
i know how to get the cel codes but not for the tranny.

 

C mon guys, there has to be a tranny tech, or someone that knows about this problem in here. please help

Double check your fluid once at normal temp run it through all gears first then check

could be the tranny is bad i have had 2 auto DA mess up on me without me abusing them

time for a 5speed conversion i have a complete swap sitting in my garage if interested
