Hey guys, thanks for any and all help! I have this 91 inetgra ls thats going thro map sensors like crazy. I have put 2 from the local u pull and now 2 brand new oem ones. Is there anything that could cause my car to do this? Oh, it will shut off with no sign of anything. Just driving then off. It threw a map sensor could so i assumed that was the problem. Im starring to think its more but thats tge only code i get.

Any otger ideas?

 

Do you have another ecu you could try ? i would have quit after 2 let alone buying new oem ones.

 

maybe you're reading the code wrong.
what is the exact code you are reading?
a bad map sensor/circuit shouldn't cause a stall

 

I kinda started thinking that..... did a little more research and figured out i read the code wrong. Its code 15. So i was gonna replace the whole distributor. But undecided as to go with an msd with external coil or an oem. I can get either for about $100. The msd doesnt have a wiring diagram tho. Any ideas here?

 

that sounds more like it. you can replace just the icm though. if you go the route of replacing the whole sha bang, i would just go oe replacement.

 

After doin a littke more looking i found a hondata chipped and plugged ecu for $170. I figure i can get the distributer and ecu for $300.

 

Ok......car just died at lunch......ive had enough. Napa had an icm in stock! $43 it is going in after work! Ill let yall know how it goes. Thanks for the advise thus far gentlemen.
