CODE 5 PROBLEMS
i just did a b16 swap in my 91 crx si....the ecu keeps throwing code 5.....i know that it is the map sensor, but code 3 means that it is a bad map sensor, and code 5 in a bad vaccum....is this correct....i have 1 hose from the map sensor that i "plugged up" with a screw....what do i need 2 do..?
ok do you have a vacuum line running from the map to the t-body? there should be one there, i donno about where you live but here in canada we have no emmisions
, so i dont even have a charcol canister

the MAP sensor doesn't look like a film cannister - that is probably the purge cut-off solenoid valve, which is right beside the MAP - MAP has one vacuum hose from throttle body (vacuum port nearest front of car, next to port with red braided cloth covered hose to the purge cannister)
