2000 Integra New Key/Programming
Hello guys! I have a 2000 integra that I wanted to get a spare key incase i ever lose one. If I want to get another key do I need to program it to the vehicle? Also, can I program it even if I’m using a chipped OBD1 p28?
I want to know if I need to program the key and fob to my 2000 integra and i have an OBD1 eco that I bought from HAMotorsport. Vehicle is in perfect working condition, I just want to get a spare and possibly put a fob on it.

If you're running an OBD1 ECU, then you're not using the chipped part of the key. The OBD2b ecu that came with your car is what communicates with the chip in the key. You lost the chipped key functionality when you took the original ecu out. Right now you're just starting your car up with a plain old medal key.
