2000 integra b20
I have a 2000 integra LS with a b20 motor. I blew up my old motor and sold my turbo kit to buy this motor and i am going to get back into the import scene. Any suggestions on what i should do to my motor to get things going?? I am open minded so let me know. I still have the LS motor too. its just a little dirty.
Do you plan on boosting the b20?
I'd recommend getting arp headstuds and new OEM headgasket..
Depends on your power goals and what HP/TQ your wanting to make.. It's all in the tuning
also a good idea is to buy a wideband if you don't already have one.

Why not turbo the b20.. B20's are awesome boosted and make some NICE torque numbers.. They have thin cylinder side walls, but if it's tuned well.. it's just as reliable and fast or if not faster than a LS boost'd.

very true...but the likelyness of it lasting very long is not. if you want to make some really good power boosting a b20 you really will need to fully build the bottom end. ive seen even those crack. so its really all luck if you ask me. alot of people have been lucky and alot have not been so lucky. i would not take the risk unless money was not an option for me.

Check here.. There's several people running boosted b20's without problems.. making crazy numbers too..

With a good tune and conservative timing and a wideband.. It would be 100% safe and reliable.. and last as long as you want it to..
I'm sure theres a couple people in this forum running boosted b20's in there teg and will chime in.

yeah. kind of the feedback i was looking for. i was thinking since i went the boosted route before i may go n/a this time around. still trying to decide what to do. whatever i do it will definitely be done right. what the deal with the arp headstuds and the OEM gasket?

Depending on how much boost you wanna run, to prevent the head from lifting.. You don't haft to but when i boost my b20 i plan on doing mine.
