B20 vs LSvtech
Well im a noob and i am facing a decision. I have a LS block(b18B) with about 90k's on the motor and i have a friend with a B20 block for sale with about 8k's the set up will be using a drag turbo for a daily driven 96 Integra RS. Money is a little tight right now but i can get a good deal on the B20. But i need some suggestions on weather i should go with the LS block and have it rebuiilt when i get some more money or... go with the B20 both would be using a b16 head. Or if i am totally lost here just lmk. Some help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: B20 vs LSvtech (DaX)
in my opinion, they are both good motors. but if money is tight and you plan to boost, then i would go with the ls motor. why you might ask-------
1. b20 sleeves are not suitable(weak) for boost
2. installing another motor would take to much time, ex. removing tranny, dropping motor. with the ls if it is till in the car all you have to do is pull the ls head off and put the b16 head on.
now if money isn't tight and assuming that you can save money, i would----
1. sleeve either block and bore to 84mm (2.0), if you don't know this already. an ls motor is the same as a b20 with the exception that the b20 has .2 more liters than the ls.
2. rebuild with fresh parts, and then boost the hell out of it.

you got the ls block, instead of buying the b20, just throw in a set of nice sleeves and bore it to 2.0. same thing IMO.
