there are plenty of ways, new block, bore/stroke, etc, etc...

the easiest is probably buy a b20 block and run a vtec head.

search the board for 2.0 litre....there is a wealth of information on the topic.

you might like this too (although it's just an example). http://www.theoldone.com/articles/badtothebone/

$1000 for a B20B longblock from Honda Heaven in Arlington TX.

~$1000 to resleeve most any honda B18 series motor, then bore out from 84mm (2.0L) to 86mm (2.1+L). Then buy pistons ~$500 for JE's.

Buy a Dart Block ~$2000 bore 84-86mm and never buy another block ever Then add Pistons and components from any B-Series motor

So B20B is cheapest, but has the most limitations. Resleeve is a good balance of strength and price, and Dart block is uber amazing but cost some $$$.

don't these combinations break after like 10K miles.
i've heard stories of LS/VTEC bored hybrids breaking every 15K or so miles

Stroke it baby. 95mm of sexy strokes.

You don't need a b20 block for 2.0L, all you need to do is get the block you have redone so it has a 84mm bore.

Get a Dart block and be done with it. If you want to run n/a or f/i all yuo have to do is change out the pistons. The block will be setup for it. The quality of the Dart block is 1000 X better than any other type of closed deck type block out there on the market today.

Most of the times when you get your B18C block resleeved, you have to take it to a respectable machine shop. Otherwise you will run the risk of sleeves sinking back down into the block, or worse.

EX: A Darton (not to be confused with Dart) Modular Integrated Deck costs about 450-500 dollars (500 directly from Darton). The labor to install that ****** is 700 bux. So you are looking at about $1100 dollars to resleeve

IMO, I'd rather spend 700-800 bux more and get a MUCH better block that can be used for a lifetime and not have to worry about anything.
