1997 Integra RS electrical problem
So I bought my 97 Integra a few months ago, the original owner swapped in a b16a2 (which I plan on replacing with something bigger). But so far it has been a great car except for one problem.. A few months ago an electrical problem reared its head. One day I was driving around with my buddy and his the passenger window wouldn't work.. After that I noticed that my dome light, keys and lights chimes, and my low speed on my windshield wipers don't work. I have checked all my fuses and can't find any blown ones. Any specific thing that might keep all these things from working?
The only thing common on all those circuits are the grounds.
Dome light is a 12V constant circuit.
Wipers are a switch 12V circuit.
They all do connect to/through the ICU, [integrated control unit] on the back of the under dash fuse box.
Do intermittent wipers work?
Does rear defrost work?
Do front side markers work properly?
If answer to any of the above is yes, your problem is most likely the ICU. 94

Always good general maintenance:
remove all known ground straps, sand down wires and sand down body/frame contact points as well, replace with fresh new 10mm bolts, and maybe even create a couple extra grounds as well. You may notice electrical performance improvement. There is a strap running from the body to transmission, body to valve cover, and one on the thermostat housing as well, and depending on the year there is another by the hood release lever (or is that just EF civics?)
