1991 Acura Integra Ls problems with ecu fuse.
hey guys!
So I’ve read and read and read.
Problem started with obvious water. Cleaned up had car running but alt. Was charging at 16a.
my neighbor said let’s unhook negative cable see if she shuts off.. well she didn’t.
he pressed the throttle cable a smidge and she chugs out and he very quickly put neg cable back.
she still shut off. Now WILL NOT START and blows ecu fuse every key turn. Forums said check
the ecu by unplugging and turning key if it still blows it’s from relay to plug. Well ECU fuse does not blow
if ecu is not hooked up.
Alternator has been replaced still same thing.
Is ecu bad? What would be my next step. I’ve looked over most wires not underdash but all under the car
from where she got wet.

Seriously, if I had a dollar for every time I heard some dumb *** say, "pull the battery terminal while the engine is running, to test the alternator", I would be eating a nice NY Strip and your ECU would still be fried....

Any suggestions on the new ecu.. used one off eBay ? Or aftermarket or from Honda/Acura. I’ve changed motors never replaced a ecu from scratch.

easy plug and play....and 2 or 3 10mm bolts...its coved by the kick panel pass side right...as far as ecus you can run a stock one unless you want to upgrade

I bought a refurbished and chipped ecu from these guys a few years back and it has been working great since. You should be able to get a chipped p28 for your application and an obd0 to obd1 harness to make it work.
