If your Integra has the OEM immobilizer, [PATS] system, you will need the ign. switch "system" with transponder key, it will have to be for the 2000/01 Integra, you will also need to have the system programed for the new key[s], if you have the original key, you may be able to get away with a new key cylinder and switch, the switch is held in place to the back of the ign. switch housing with 2 screws, or get the whole thing... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Standard-Mot...sories&vxp=mtr 94

Did you get keys with the car or does old owner have keys?

As you will have to get the ign. switch assembly anyway just install it and have the keys programed or get the replacement immobilizer chip, about $50. 94

Yes he did give me a key for the doors and one key for the igntion.

Whats the approx cost of getting the key programed at the dealer?

Where is the immobilizer chip located?

Sorry for the dumb questions. I never dealt with this immobilizer stuff. Just want everything back to stock and original as it should be.

The immobilizer chip is in the ECU/ECM.

Cost of programming will depend on the dealer.

If you have an original key, just get a a tumbler "keyed" to it. 94

a p73 ecu isnt stock so if thats what is in the car the whole immobilizer thing may be a non issue, Is the ECU in it obd2b or is there a conversion harness? If you dont know how to tell check this out
http://www.hondata.com/techecuid.html

you eithr need a whole ignition assembly like you said as well as re-keying the immobilizer to the brain, as that brain isnt stock, or get a conversion harness, convert to obd1 and get a non immobilizer ignition..If you dont have smog where you live

i know a p73 is a type r ecu. its obd2b. i used my obd2b to obd1 ecu jumper with my obd1 p72 and sure enough it starts and everything is working. i still cant believe this car was a steal for me for 1000 bucks, nothing is missing and everything works hooray!!. i am starting on buying a whole new steering column, ignition switch with keys, and a obd2 gsr ecu. then take it to the dealer for program. hopefully they dont overcharge me. thanks everyone for the reply.

If you can find all of those parts from the same car you wont need a dealer reprogram..otherwise sounds like you got it figured out..good luck with it man

I see that sometimes ign. switches, [harness and switch] are sold as for automatic or for manual...

But it seems to be all over the place...

I would guess the auto one would have leads for shift lever unlock. 94
