Icon3 1995 Civic EX ABS Cel

Hello guys today I did my suspension swap for my 1995. From Oem, to Tein Super Street. I did everything I remember correctly and what not. When I finished the swap my ABS light was turned on????? -_- Any hints on what this could be if any one has had it happened to them. It is in my 1995 Civic Sedan EX. Thanks YOU

Start off with checking and cleaning your abs sensor, wildoutgsr did a nice write up for you to follow.

Jump the service connector to pull the ABS code. The ABS light will blink the code(s), just like pulling CEL codes.

As shown in the diagram and also in the CEL sticky at the top, the service connector is located above the ECU behind the passenger kick panel.

Ok cool I will try that, I just went for a ride and when I start the car, the ABS light truns on and goes away. After I start driving after about 20 seconds it truns on. That usually is a sign of? Also do abs lights turn on if any wheel is loose?

Don't guess what the problem might be -- just pull the code.

4-2 Circuit of left hand front wheel speed sensor

Thats is the Code that it gave me any ideas? When I was putting the suspension on I pulled the brake and heard a cable pop I was like OOOO lol but when I took a look it was just a rubber part that had broke didnt seem important. I dont know if that has anything to do with it. Thank You.

I inspected the sensor and wire, and they seemed to be in really good shape. I am going to try and clean it, but if that does not work I dont think i want to spend that much money on a new speed sensor. Is it worth to just get that off.

Today I will be going to get it tested.... I remember pulling the whole brake system and hearing something pop. No lines broke but I know it came from the ABS like in the Front Driver, on the side im getting code. Could that have created a short in the system? What gets me is that nothing seems broken and I inspected it today. The front sensors should be cleanred as well correct?

Hey question, I was looking today at wheel speed sensor and I noticed they come with the wire that connects them. That same wire was the one that I pulled and hear a loud pop. My assumption is I caused a short in that wire causing that whole sensor to messed up could I be correct?

is there a list of abs codes anywhere? just like the CEL, a long flash is a "10" and short flashes are 1-9 right?

The code list is in the diagram right above your text. Also see post #3.

You probably tore the wiring to the sensor. Remove the covering and inspect the wires...especially near the end and at where the tug happened.
