ive just updated my my labtop with the new hondata download and now i cant get connection to the car ecu for datalog. was there something that i did wrong?

 

What new version?

The last beta update was 6-13-11 and it works flawlessly.

 

I had the s300 software download back in march. When I used my laptop again it pop up that there was a new version. I then download the new version and since then I haven't able to log into my ecu... I try a different USB cable and same thing..

 

The problem isn't the software.

Does the car start & run?
The only issue is you can't connect to the ecu?
What error do you get when you plug in the usb cable with the engine of, key on?

 

The car run fine. The only issue is that I can't connect with engine on or key on. When I plug the USB it doest feel like it's connecting at all. I try a another USB and same thing? It doesn't pop up any error

 

Try clicking help & update usb drivers in the smanager software.

 

k, i try doing that and it pop up error and then it said usb driver updated??

i got the chance to try my buddy laptop and it work find. not sure what happen to my laptop. mine has somthing to do with my usb connection.

 

Try un-installing the Smanager software & re-installing it with the latest beta version from http://hondata.com/downloads.html

Are your using the 1.5.4 version? If so uninstall it then download the 1.4.8 then update to the 1.5.4.

 

yes i have the new 1.5.4 version, where can i upload the 1.4.8 version at?

 

what is the erase ecu function available in 1.5.4? anyone here know? is that stable?
