Wekfest Los Angeles Lived Up to Lofty Expectations

Wekfest Los Angeles

Wekfest Los Angeles is now in the books. We expected this all-custom car showcase to be terrific and it did not disappoint.

Wekfest Los Angeles was held on August 14 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. We told you that we expected it to be an amazing show and it was. Hopefully you were able to make it to see all of the outstanding custom cars for yourself. As usual there was a strong Honda presence and there were cars there of exceptional quality. No matter if you are a fan of the Civic or the NSX or anything in between you likely saw a Honda product at this show that you could drool over. Of course, there were plenty of non-Honda custom cars too for the sake of variety.

If you did miss Wekfest Los Angeles, we do have some good news for you. In less than two weeks Wefest is heading east to Edison, NJ for Wekfest East. We expect the same high-quality show to be put on in the Garden State. It will be held in the New Jersey Convention Center. Click HERE to get your tickets now. But before we move ahead to the next show, we want to take a quick look back at some of the terrific cars that were spotted in Los Angeles.

Awards

Cars compete in over 60 different award categories. The awards are split up into three main categories. There are the specialty awards such as Car of the Festival and Engine Bay of the Festival. There are the manufacturer awards. In this category you will see awards for Acura of the Festival, Honda of the Festival and so on.

And then there are the individual awards. Here awards are given to Type-R of the Festival, Civic of the Festival and so on. At the time of this writing the award winners were not posted. But the pictures shared on these pages show some of our favorites that may have gone home with a prize. And even if they didn’t, they are still amazing builds.

Not only were there dozens of cars to drool over but there were also plenty of vendors on hand to talk to. Like every Wekfest event the highlights are not just the cars but the displays and individual products on hand. Show goers could get a closer look at everything from body kits, to seats, wheels, performance parts. You can see the parts on the vendor table and at the same time see exactly what the look like on the custom car on the floor in front of you.

More Wekfest

As we mentioned Wekfest East is coming up next but that is not all. There will also be one in West Palm Beach, FL on October 29. That show will be held at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. It is returning after a three-year hiatus so folks in the area are going to be pumped up for a return to action. You won’t want to miss it. But no matter what city you are in Wekfest is a must see for any custom car lover.
