After getting an oil change its suppose to last you atleast 3k miles before the next. For some reason my oil only last 1k miles( my oil light comes on). Anyone have any suggestions why?I asked my mechanic and he said that there might be something wrong internally. I thought it was my oil pan but there wasnt any leaks or anything.

 

should last you alot more than 3k.

your losing oil, your oil pump could be bad, oil light comes on with loss of pressure.
