Is it identical to a LS crank other than the stroke? with custom length rods couldn't you obtain a nice stroker kit for dirt cheap compared to crowers' crank?

rod ratio is too low, unless you only planning on revving to 6K rpm them you're ok..

you can always add deck height + move wrist pin then get custom rod ... SAAB has a timing belt to fit, use prelude distributor p/u driveshaft and custom adj cam gears that have deep slots.

you can go thru that if you want, but i think you said something like "cheap" so jsut stick to 89mm crnak i guess.

Let me rephrase, relatively inexpensive vs. Crower stroker crank.

As for rod ratios, I am not concerned as this can not be compared with a stock motor. As many threads before have discussed, some people are much to concerned with r/s ratios. If my powerband is not going to be from 7500+ rpm, well than I will move the powerband lower by adjusting cam timing etc. When you are dealing with a completely built motor with balanced crank, lightweight forged rods, lightweight forged pistons, reinforced mains by a girdle etc, you are no longer dealing with a stock B20A.

the guys in cali have tried this many times and have learned the hard wya, the rods ALWAYS comes out the side because of the high piston speeds. Its easy to write it on paper, but its not possible to move cam gears so much to move powerband by 1k rpm .. the most you can get is 500 rpm if that much and that risks valve piston contact ...
