Okay, So this is just like all of the other sub forum indexes, but this one is for the transmissions (duh )
I want good links in here with verified info, none of this fly by night "assumption" nonsense. With that said, I am
going to provide links for the stuff that I have found to be helpful. Yes there will be some of my writeups, but
that's just because I know of them and know where they are. This isn't a index of only my creations so please don't
interpret it as that.

B-series hydro ring gear swapping[/B]
you have two style of ring gears. LSD style and b16 style
the LSD style includes all of the hydro LSD ring gears including the 4.785 and the 4.4 that's found in the integras.
then you have the "b16" style. The b16 NON lsd differentials use the "smaller" style. Also the b18b integra uses
the same style, only it uses the 4.266 ring gear

I have a full photo shoot from a complete tear down and rebuild on my b-series tranny. I will try and find some time to do the write up and post the pics.

Bense:
How do you know which gears will go where? You said in your writeup that the 3rd->4th gear interchange wouldn't fit without some modification so you used one from a different tranny you had laying around. If I were to partake in such an adventure, is there some what to tell beforehand what gears will go where without "modification", short of buying a whole new gearset from infinitude?
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's becuase they are on sperate "sections" and, apparantly, the sections all feel the need to be of different diameter? So therefore, 2nd and 3rd can be easily changed, as well as 4th with 5th; but not 3rd with 4/5 or 1st with anything?
Also, are most of the transmissions similar? I.E. could I take a gearset from an F/H tranny and change it with a B, or only within the series?
Thanks and good work.

Re: (buzz1167)
3rd and 4th gears are only swappable on d-series. like, you could use a civic vx 3rd as 4th. or if you wanted to be stupid you could use a 4th as a 3rd. But then it would be like
1 4 5
2 3 R
1 4 5
2 3 R

Re: (Bense)
Ok so... I'm only a little confused with the wording of your answer.
Are 2->3 / 4->5 easily swappable in all trannies?
You swap gears between the same series without a problem, just not between series, right?
I'm asking becuase I have an F series, If I could braoden my search for tranny parts it would help tremendously to me finding the right gears.
Thanks,

Great thread. Thanks for putting this together.
Here are B-series gear ratios: http://www.turbols.net/TechInfo/GearRatios.html
The 90-91 Integra RS/LS/GS ratios for 1st gear and final drive are somewhat in question... their part numbers do not match the 92-93 RS/LS/GS.
