Default car wont start... guessing alternator problem... please take a look

well i went out driving today to work... i was on the freeway when my tach, speedo and radio just shut off, the car was still going no real bog down or anything... i then came up to a redlight and the car started to want to die... so i kept her revving, i came home put her in the garage and now the car wont start at all... if i jump it with my other car it turns on, but then dies when i unplug it... do you guys think its an alternator issue?

try getting your batter charged are auto zone. I think they do it free there. then put it back in you car and turn it over.if it starts disconnect the battery while it is running. if its the alternator then the car would die when you disconnect the battery. If its still running then i would check you battery. But since you brought it to auto zone to get charged they tell yeah if your battery junk. hope that helps-good luck

well I noticed that there was a really loose cable comming from the alternator... so i unplugged it and plugged it back in... still no go, so i took it to autozone to have em test the battery, they said it was so low they would have to charge it before testing it, but that theres a good chance that because the alternator wasnt charging the battery that after i plugged it back in it wouldnt be able to start... so hopefully its just that!
