Default 17x7 with 1" spacer on a 98 Acura cl.

I have a set of 17x7 wheels with a 4x100 lug pattern. My car is a 4x114.3 but I won a pair of 1" spacers for the low off eBay. My question is would the wheels rub and stick out if I use the spacers? Btw I am running a 205 40 17 tire but I plan to upgrade to a 215 45 17

Most likely, unless you have some wheels that started off with some incredible amount of offset.

what do you mean average? look on the wheel and tell us the exact offset.

1" is a big spacer and wider tires are just going to complicate things more.

It's possible, as the post above notes.

205/40-17 is MUCH too small for a '98 CL; that's the 17" size for '98 Civics and Integras, and it's almost an inch and a half smaller in diameter than the stock 205/55-16. 215/45-17 is the best 17" size for your car and that's what you should be using.

well 10mm plus an inch. 35.4mm roughly depending on acutal width of the tire. Cant tell you without knowing your wheel offset. Go and measure out 1.4inches.
