Should I even bother with a MIG or go straight to TIG???
I'm ready to buy a welder but its so tough deciding what to get. My intended usage will be basic fabrication of steel, stainless, and aluminum. Mostly things like exhaust and custom brackets.
Price is not an issue but I can't afford both. I'm leaning towards a Miller Dynasty 200 DX TIG. I know its much slower to TIG weld that MIG, but that's fine with me. Is there anything I would not be able to do with TIG and I would have to have a MIG for? Other than ease of use and speed, I can't find any reason to buy a MIG over a TIG.
Thanks,

if you want to do alum. you'll need an AC/DC Tig machine , I'd go for the Syncrowave 180 SD , seems to fit the bill for you.
I dont use a MIG for anything other than spot welds on floorplates.
