turbo not spinning on idle
hey everyone im new to all this and this is my first post please no haters i will try and explain this the best i can. i have a 1994 honda prelude with a h23 engine 5 speed manual i brought a cheap turbo kit unknown brand turbo all i can see on it is A/R 50. when i start the car the turbine wont spin on idle will start spinning after i give it acceleration i have not hooked up the dump pipe yet could that cause the problem? also the blow off valve will not open when the car is running i have checked the oil feed and there is oil being pumped to the turbo, thi is my first turbo install so any help would be awesome.thanks

Re: turbo not spinning on idle
If the mass of the turbine is greater than the mass and velocity of the exhaust hitting it, the turbine will not spin, and can be normal (if you consider a way too big turbo to be normal, yours isnt too big)
I do however recommend you get a quality turbo, as a lot of ebay kits I have seen leak oil through the shaft, ruining the motor.
