motor problem
i was driving to school last week (2 hours) and about a mile from school my car died motor was hesitating and not running right. i think i sucked in some water along the drive. got to school did a compression test got bad numbers i think 60 and 40 in the first two cylinders. i riped off the head and i couldn't find anything wrong. the head is flat, valves are fine, rods are fine, head gasket is fine, we measured the head bolts to se if i stretched them and 3 of them were 3 thousands shorter than the rest. thinking maby i stretched the rest. but all of the head bolts were tight. my oil is now a nice milk color. Any suggestions on what happened?

Re: motor problem (cstay)
you may have cracked the head. if the head gasket was still good and everything else looked fine, i dont see how i can be anything else. the piston rings have nothing to do with the mixing of the fluids. go and get the head pressure tested at a machine shop to see if there are any unseen cracks. if nothing is found, just resurface the head and slap on a new head gasket/head bolts.

headgasket (it can still be bad but look OK)
cracked head
cracked block
coolant is mixing with oil those are the only 3 possibilites.

Re: motor problem (Kamin)
I agree 100% with Kamin...your HG can look fine but definatly be bad. How many miles are on your car? Was your HG ever replaced before? Good piece of advice that I was always told is always start working on the smaller possible solution (replace HG, headstuds, and resurface head) and if that does not take care of the problem move on to the next bigger possible solution to your problem. good luck
