Default Gsr bearings in b16

Would be safe to run one half of a gsr bearing along with one half of an b16 bearing in one Rod journal?
I know the gsr is much slimmer but still seats into place on the Rod cap. I ordered red bearings for my motor from Honda and they gave me gsr reds.

Ya, could you please explain, i searched the whole web, not one thing on it.

Ive taking apart a few gsr's and they had, acl std bearings in them. Not slim ones like oem. They were the normal width ones. I dont see why they cant be vise versa, if acls, or any other aftermarket will fit a gsr, and b16 ect..??

b16 rods are like ls gsr are way smaller you will have too much of a gap and you will get low oil pressure and youll spin a bearing thus messing up the crank

im using the b16 rods. im only using 1 gsr half bearing, all clearances are .0015 so its all good on the oil pressure. i dont know what your trying to say..

your side clearance is what lubricates the cylinder wall. gsr bearings are skinnier which = oil not spraying out correctly.

exactly sorry didnt mean oil clearance issue i was speaking about a side to side clearance issue. The oil clearance is good though i woudn't recomend it but its actaully your motor but is it really worth taking a chance for 30 to 40 dollars your best bet is to order another set of bearings and play it safe cause itll cost you more in the long run

I see. Now that i did not know, i though the cylinder walls were oiled by the piston, oil ring land, it has tiny holes around it.??

Also if the slimmer bearings are sufficient for a gsr motor, why wouldn't it be for a b16? It is only 1 half, i dont think it would be too drastic?? Also oil squirters? Also here is the weird part, the acl standard box says for a b16, b18a b18b, ect.. and also a B18c...Now these are fat acls, why would larger acls work for a gsr but not vise versa?

i'm looking at the acl catalog now, and they have different part numbers for the rod bearings between motors. b series mains are all the same though.

there's no way it would work as it sits anyway, since the tangs on the gsr rod bearings are on the wrong side.
