Icon3 d16z6 tps help

okay so i swapped my rebuilt motor from my si into my new S chassis. no problems with engine before swap. when i swapped new engine in, it had a poor idle and would surge. and CEL codes, 2- vtec solenoid, 3-MAP, 6-water temp, 7-TPS, 14-IAC. so i went ahead and cleaned my throttle body, iacv and fitv. after doing so, the problem did not seem to be fixed. i purchased a map and TPS sensor off of craigslist which said to be in working condition. i went ahead and replaced both sensors.

now i know that the tps must be adjusted. i do not know exactly how to do so, but i used this guide for help, https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/official-honda-tps-wiring-calibration-thread-2830131/

when checking red wire i get no reading when the throttle body is closed, and i get about .3 when open. i do not have a continunity tester at this time to check for ground.

yellow wire reads 5v

im not sure what to do from this point, any and all help would be great!
thanks in advance.

also when i try to move/adjust the sensor position itself, the reading does not change. could be bad TPS sensor? i should probably check my old one for the hell of it.

continuity tester? Are you using a dmm? If you get 5reference, and you get an unusual reading going back to the ecu, then there is a bad ground. Do a voltage drop on the ground side
