I just changed my manifold and i'm getting the tps check light and vtec is not poppin at all............could a bad tps sensor cause no vtec???
if you have a check engine light, most like the vtec won't work anyway. tps might just be out of adjustment. you'd know if when you stomp on it and vtec opens the engine will just cut out.
i replaced the throttle body and am having the same problem. im actualy getting 12v to the tps. how do you adjust the voltage on the tps?
Adjust your TPS to 400-500MV at idle and WOT should be around 4.5V. And to the guy above me the TPS sensor is on a 5V reference you're testing the wrong wire.
acording to the haynes manual im saposto check the red and black wire. and when the throttle is closed the volts should be .5v. this is what i did and im getting 12v. so i checked the same wire comming out of the PCM and im also getting 12v.

alright i was testing the righ wire, i was just testing it wrong. still learning how to work on cars. what i am getting is when the throttle is closed .01v and at full throttle 4v. the code i was getting was the low imput to tps. is there a way to get this corected? thanks

you need to move the tps in one direction to get it to read a higher voltage. adjusting the sensor one way or the other will either cause the voltage to go up or down. i think pushing the sensor towards the ground raises the voltage
