Icon2 2007 Honda Pilot Horn not working (clock spring already replaced)

Hi, the SRS light was on and the horn was not working on my '07 Pilot, so I replaced the clock spring. The SRS light is now off but the horn still doesn't work. I tested did a continuity test on the new clock spring and each of the four pins tested out fine. The horn does sound when I use key to lock the doors (i.e., if I click the lock button twice).

Any ideas where to start troubleshooting?

I made sure that I hooked up the two other leads besides the airbag - one looks like it's for the cruise control and the other looks like it's for the horn. Thanks.

Find the light green/blue horn lead in the column harnesses and supply a ground directly to it, if horn works, recheck clockspring wiring, if not, check horn relay, trigger for horn when locking doors is from a diff. source. 94

Thanks for the reply and info. fcm. Can you give me a little instruction on how to locate the light green/blue horn lead? And can I used the common ground (COM) terminal of my multimeter to apply ground to it? I may have sound like I had an idea of what I was doing, but I'm actually very new at this

Remove the steering wheel cover, [covers combination light switch] once removed you can see the plugs/harnesses for the differant wiring going to the ign. switch and combination light switch, one of those leads will be a green/blue, it will be one of the thinner leads, [most likley on a 4-5 pin plug, under the switch].

Unplug the plug and supply chassis ground to the green/blue lead, if your meter has a ground output use it, but a jumper lead from any ground point will work, if horn works, the problem is the clock spring or wiring, if not, move down line on the green/blue to the horn relay socket and test there, for ground on green/blue, when pressing the horn button, [pin 85 or 86] test for two 12V+, [hot at all times] at the horn relay socket, [pin 85 or 86] and [pin 30 or 87] if both good, jump pin 30 and 87, if horn works, replace relay, if not move down to horn(s) test for good ground and 12V+ when horn button pressed. 94

Thanks for the detailed response fcm - I found it. It was a self-inflicted wound. When I was removing the old clock spring, I was having a hard time figuring out what was holding it on at the top. In the process of trying to find it, I unplugged the connectors from the back of it. I finally had to wait until the new part arrived and examine it to find the tab at 12 o'clock that was holding the old one on. I guess b/c a couple of days had passed before I connected the new one, I forgot to re-connect it. Plugged it back it and it works.
