Default Can I "reboot" a ball joint??

I wanted to know if it possible? When I took all my ball joints apart I used that fork and hammer method, It works but rips the boot around the ball joint. The ball joint is still good, BTW its the one on the bottom of the spindle, Thanks guys!!

My Prothane urethane bushing kit had new ball joint boots in it and I used them on my racecar to replace ripped stock rubber boots. The don't fit as well as the rubber but they will protect the joints from water and grit.

Yes, you can. New boots are less than $3 at the dealer. Make sure to clean all of the old grease out of the joint and pack some new clean grease in there.
