For my 94 Integra gsr:
I notice my engine is running hotter than usual after replacing my radiator and themostat. I replaced my radiator with a aftermarket OEM style replacement and a 180 degree thermostat. Before replacing them, the most the guage will go up to will be about 1/3 on the temperature guage. Now it's like 2 dots before the middle...WTF happen? I observe my radiator fan and they are coming on. |

Did you bleed the system?

Check for bubbles... You may have an air pocket...

From what it sounds like the temp is at what it's supposed to be.
My temp gauge always stayed at 1/3 up until I replaced the thermostat. Now it sits just before the 1/2 line. Accornding to my owner's manual the needle should be just under the 1/2 way mark.

I have that problem, when I first had my engine put in, it was a little below middle (where it should be) but now it barely gets two dots..
The culprit? A bad thermostat. My thermostat was stuck open, a quick replacement and it is back to normal.

If you have bubbles, then you need to bleed the system, in order to do this, you need to take a 12 mm box wrench, and put it on the bleeder screw located, where the radiator hose, comes to the front of the head (b18a) crack the screw open, let some coolant come out, tighten it back down....DONE

just take the radiator cap off and run the engine for 15-20 min. then refill and replace the cap.

, i'd check for leaks around your rad cap also, you can take out the tube going into the over fill and blow in it and look around the cap and make sure nothing is leaking from there, if it's leaking you'll see it spit out around the cap. mine just cracked on me today and i have to get it replaced.
