Do all 96-00 civic ex's have vtec?

Do all 96-00 civic ex's have vtec?
I have not seen (yet) a 96-00 civic with vtec on the valve cover... does that mean that they don't have vtec?

yea i just realized that.. for instance the acura 1.6el which has a d16y8 says VTEC on the valve cover.
