New coil overs strut is poking through once installed *PICS*
Sorry didn't know how to explain it so I took pictures what did I do wrong. I have it dropped way to low so I am raising it a little bit more. But did I forget to put a washer on when I put the top hats on the springs and struts. My rear coil overs are fine its just the front thats doing it. I have raceland coil overs by the way.

Your missing a washer that looks like the top one that goes under the strut mounts aka top hats

its not a "washer" its a bumpstop plate. its a very important and special part of the shock assembly, and prevents this exact thing. a normal washer is not sufficient.
take it from your old shock.
take it from your old shock.

This is the 2nd one this week.
PEOPLE!!!! When you swap out the suspension lay the old next to the new and compare. Make sure the new configuration matches the old one BEFORE you put the car back together. If there are pieces missing from the new kit it doesn't mean that you were not supposed to use them! If you're missing washers then use washers from the old set up. And I'm pretty sure that these things come with instructions unless you got them used.

I knew what they meant. I don't think they implied that the OP should run down to Home Depot and buy the first washer they found.

and you wouldnt be the first idiot to use just a plain washer and have it blow thru. bad advice calling it a washer, or you just dont have a clue either.
its tapered to fit the neck of the shock rod. and hardened and a lot thicker than a washer.

This is a dumb thing to argue. The point has already been made so arguing the fact further is useless.

Pull the cob out your *** moron. I was not refering to any washer from Home Depot. I just didn't know a official name for it and therefore refered to it as a washer since it resembles one. I didn't bother going into detail that the inner diameter is tapered so it can stop a a specific spot on the shaft of the shock due to being on my phone. I also assumed he over looked them and had them laying around and would install rather than going to hardware store. I have done this a few times big boy and probably have way more knowledge of vehicles than you so you should keep you mouth shut so your foot stays out of it!!!

yeah it was pretty clear from the begining.
but hey this happened to me on my rear end once. I as like damn, I guess I gotta brake in my new shocks. It took me a week to open up my trunk and meerly notice it.
I had just met a chick and was wondering why she was so damn bouncy in the back seat with her frind haha, I thought she was doing it on purpose to show off tatas lol.
**** happens. get it fixed and you'll learn from this for sure.
