Default suspension help

Im using a sleeve over coil over and kyb adj struts. I have them set up and im using energy suspension strut bushings. I put them between the top of sleeve over litterly the disk that sits on top of the spring and the OEM strut cap. is this correct it leaves a gap between coil over top and oem cap

im using a sleeve over coil over design, with a kyb adj strut. Im using energy suspension bushings. 4 for the top of shock inserted into the strut cap, and 4 that as far as i can tell sit not insert into the bottom of what im calling the strut cap. This cap is the OEM strut top that you reuse. I was wondering my coilovers have a cap of there own i used this under the oem cap and took out the rubber oem insert and replaced it with the energy suspension bushing im having trouble with. It looks like a big disc with two small ribs in it at the bottom. i cut those off inorder to clear the top of the strut.
