B20b turbo setup!
New to all this Fwd stuff and honda's haha, Anyways I picked up a 91 Integra and I picked up a b20b from my engine guy who I buy my Sr20's from and pretty much any engine for that matter. car runs good and all that but I'm use to having a turbo under my hood so yea haha.
So here is my quick run down of parts I'm going to throw at the b20 and let me know what you guys think. This isn't a Dream build list that has mugen everything and hks this, greddy that haha. Just a budget mild power build! Pics to come
B20b 49,000 miles according to the cluster
-T28 turbo from a S14 Sr20 engine (ball bearing) (It has an Hks actuator On It from one of my old setups I had set up 16 psi)
-Log manifold
- Ngk BKr7e plugs and all oem cap, rotor, wires (already installed minus plugs)
-Walbro 255lph
-rx7 t2 555cc injectors ( I have 2 sets from previous rx7's I've owned)
-I have a relativley small FMIC core that I used on one of my sr20's and It made perfect power and minimal lag for the size turbo I'm using.
-Oem timing belt,water pump
-Ported throttle body (quicker throttle response)
-I already Installed a b18 Intake manifold
-I'm going to have it chipped on street tuning by road race engineering
-clutch masters 6 puck clutch and fidanza flywheel (or XTD because my wallet might not be able to hang right now.
Ok well I'm looking for anywhere between 220-250 whp. Not sure It It's possible on a non vtec head but i know on a sr20 this is 260+rwhp all day long. Like I said not looking for crazy power just want something with some pep! I already have half the parts like the turbo, pump, injectors

Re: B20b turbo setup!
Thanks! The meth should get you there with that higher compression ratio and boost! If I had the money I would definatley get meth injection to help keep detonation in check! Good luck to you also!

Re: B20b turbo setup!
Couple updates on this and If I can find my Sd card to my camera some pictures!
Delayed the whole turbo process to make the car safe for any kind of power, All new suspension, rebuilt rack n pinion, fresh hawk brake pads and brembo blank rotors etc etc etc.
next weekend i'm going to throw the setup on the car and take it to get tuned with a video and dyno with video. 250whp crossing my fingers!!!! Going to have to take it easy on this A1 4.4 cable trans or else

Re: B20b turbo setup!
I made 270+rwhp on a Nissan t28 with a couple of my sr20's. my last sr20 setup I made 292 rwhp @ 16 psi on this same exact t28 I'm going to be using and have since had it rebuilt. bone stock head/block, stock turbo manifold. b20 can't be different than sr20. the sr20 head isn't a great flowing head so I'm sure the b20 can make similar power, this power was done on a s13 red top so vtc can't be brought up here.

Re: B20b turbo setup!
maybe you had a t25 and thought u had a t28. t28's easily push 200 with zero issues, a simple boost increase on a stock sr20 with the t25 puts you in 200whp range without bolt ons.
forgot to add that my t28 is a pulsar gtir super .60 with s14 t28 compressor housing. turbo setup is maxed out at 320whp. lil Nissan trick we use to say we have stock turbos hahaha, like the evo guys and they're "stock" Ported to hell and compressor housing swapped 20g turbos.

DO IT ON ALL FOURS
Re: B20b turbo setup!
There is so much bad advice and wront information in this thread it is pathetic.
OP - Stop comparing a different platform to another, it shows ignorance. Mugen, HKS, and Greddy parts aren't even talked about anymore. There have been better solutions and advances that are now preferred for the Honda platform. The B20 sleeves are not necessarily weaker when it comes to power, but there threshold for detonation and temperature is much lower than ANY other B series. Keep this in mind when you have somebody tune the car.
Your power goals should be easily reached and your list looks decent for a budget hodge podge build.

Re: B20b turbo setup!
it lasted 1 year because i changed for a miniram, also put a TIAL 38mm WG with 12psi spring and did not get it retuned and i blew 2 sleeves but still did 12.6 at the 1/4mile with cracked sleeves
